Coronavirus Update: #BetterTogether 3/31/2020

We hope this week finds you, your families and teams in continued good health. In the spirit of providing consistent communication and every measure of assistance we can to our customers, please review the following updates.

As you all are aware at this point, there is a backlog of demand for products that pertain to infectious disease prevention. These include items like Personal Protective Equipment, disinfectants, hand sanitizers, and related wipes. Manufacturer supply chain allocations have been in place for weeks by almost all manufacturers of these items. Our supply management team continues to diligently monitor the items impacted. We are partnering with our strategic suppliers to keep up-to-date on product availability and actively sourcing alternative items. We can take orders from all customers with these ongoing needs and will fill those orders as soon possible. We definitely have extended lead times and the supply situation is evolving every day as we identify alternative sources and products.

As the curve continues an upward trend, our preventive measures here at Nichols are as well. First, customers who have loading docks will have no change in service. In the interest of protecting our drivers and protecting the ability to continue to deliver solutions for Clean & Healthy Facilities, we are asking that Nichols drivers DO NOT ENTER your facilities to deliver product. Like most businesses in this crisis, where a dock is not accessible, we will move to “curbside service” for customers without receiving docks. Our drivers will find a safe and convenient location outside of your facility to place your product and will immediately communicate the delivery to you. Of course in the event of rain we will make exceptions.

A Program for Healthy Teams and Facilities
Nichols is happy to roll out even more tools to help you educate your teams who are still in the workplace on important measures to put in place during a time of high infection rates. This educational program is built to address infection prevention and control in the workplace. We trust that anyone still open can use this program right away, and for the most part anyone can use it during a typical cold & flu season. As of today there are five 11 x 17 educational posters available on our website page at

There is also a name tag style placard (printable in sets of 8) that can go in a badge holder / Nichols lanyard. #BetterTogether will be an evolving program that will also soon offer online videos and infection prevention. We will pre-assemble some kits that will have one of each poster and one set of eight badges. If you would like one of these added to your next order, please just let me or your account manager know.

We appreciate your patience, we appreciate your business and we are here to help.
