I know what you’re thinking: “It’s way too early to be thinking about ice melt. It’s the middle of summer and it’s 90 degrees outside!” To that I say, it’s never too early to make sure your facilities are safe and ready for winter weather. The snow will be here before we know it!
No matter what winter has in store, Nichols is Here to Help with the winter weather supplies you need to keep your sidewalks safe and floors looking good!
Be sure to study historical data, versus only looking at the previous year’s weather and remember quality over quantity when placing your order! Most of the time, you’ll be fine with regular coverage, but you’ll want a higher-quality ice melt when the weather gets extra bad.
You would hate to have someone slip and fall on your outside your facility; ice melt acts like an insurance policy in that it prevents a fall from happening before it can happen. Better safe than sorry!
One downside of using ice melt is anyone entering the facility can track it inside on their shoes, leaving a chalky residue wherever they go. Fortunately, Nichols has a few solutions for that as well:
